beabadoobee Shines At The North Park Observatory

One of my top concerts on my wish list in 2021 was to see beabadoobee live in concert. Luckily that dream came true in San Diego at the Observatory North Park. beabadoobee is a Filipino-British singer-songwriter whose music is just all-around fantastic across the board and has a voice so soothing yet mesmerizing. She’s on tour for her latest album Fake It Flowers and the crowd in San Diego was electric when she finally graced us with her presence on stage.

After being kicked out of school back in her native country of the United Kingdom, beabadoobee picked up a guitar and she is where she is now. Despite having a little bit silly of a stage name like beabadoobee, she still brings rock star vibes to the show. Some of the stand outs from the set were “Tired”, “Care”, “Dye It Red“, and of course, “Coffee”.

At first glance. beabadoobee is an act that you would think you have all figured out. You listen to some of her music and you would suspect a mellow night of music. Well you may be right but that doesn’t paint the whole picture. Sure there are some mellow moments but there was plenty of rocking out and dancing too. It’s always fun to go to shows and just see the joy fans have during the show when they get to see their favorite artists and this show was no exception. You can hear people shouting the lyrics to some of her songs that were even louder beabadoobee herself. The crowd and of course beabadoobee along with her band solidified this show as one of the best shows i’ve been to of all of 2021.

beabadoobee fed off the crowd’s energy and returned it with twice as much. She made the it feel like great night to see live music and it felt straight up like a movie. The crowd was friendly and respected her. allowing everyone in attendance to have an enjoyable time. Here may be a few sore necks feet from all the head bobbing and dancing but pain is only temporary and it was worth it for a night full of beabadoobee.
