Haley Blais & Peach Pit Was the "Coolest fucking show in town"

Peach Pit played a mesmerizing show at the Observatory North Park in San Diego. The band is currently on tour supported by Haley Blais while supporting their third album, From 2 to 3. The whole vibe of the show was really reminiscent of driving in a car during a road trip. There were shades of pop and surf rock blended together to create a warm, trippy atmosphere that left everyone in the crowd ending the night feeling good.

When I arrived, there was the longest line i’ve ever seen for the venue. It went across the street and wrapped around the block. After waiting for what felt like an eternity, I finally got into the venue. Luckily, I was able to catch the opener Haley Blais with only missing the beginning of their set. Haley played their latest song “Coolest fucking bitch in town” early during their set and it sounded so good live. There is a certain dopamine rush you get when you hear songs live and they sound good as or better than the official audio. Another memorable moment of their set was their rendition of MUNA’s “Silk Chiffon”. Overall, their set was great. You can even find our interview with Haley Blais here as well.

Once Haley Blais ended their set, everyone was waiting for Peach Pit. In a jam-packed venue, the crowd were clamoring for them to come on. When they finally came on stage, the crowd was roaring. The band played “Peach Pit” which got the crowd very hyped. Although the tour was postponed from 2019, Peach Pit did not miss a step and were having the audience in the palm of their hands.

The band ran through their discography that ranged from their three albums and even their 2018 EP Sweet FA. Early on in their set, you can tell that Peach Pit was determined to put on a hell of a show for their fans. Playing more crowd favorites such as “Alrighty Aphrodite” and “Shampoo Bottles” , all the energy the band put out, the fans were eating them up. It was safe to say that that Peach Pit are great live.

The band ended the night with “Tommy’s Party” and sent their fans home ecstatic. Peach Pit and Haley Blais were incredible and i’m excited by the latter to see when they’ll be doing their own headlining tour. After the show ended, it felt surreal to know that I randomly found their song “Peach Pit” in 2018 (shout out to YouTube’s algorithm") and they blew up and are in the midst of a sold-out tour. My last message to whoever reading this is see them while you can. You won’t regret it.
