Louis Futon Comes Alive! With a Band To the West Coast
Starting out as just a dude making beats in his bedroom, Louis Futon has created a name for himself as an established artist/producer as well as a talented live performer, blending hip-hop, r&b, and soul into sounds that entice the listeners’ ears. On this tour however, he’s not alone. Not only performing live but with a band! Louis Futon is bringing out his full live band including himself, Jawann Blanchey (who has collaborated with Robert Glasper and many more) on the drums, Hailey Niswanger on the flute/sax and Ariel Shrum on the trumpet. If you love listening to Louis Futon’s music, seeing him perform live with this backing band will take you to musical nirvana.
Based in Los Angeles, Louis Futon has forged his own path in the electronic music scene over the past few years. In only a short time, his remixes and singles have accumulated over sixty million streams online in total, with his biggest single to date “Wasted On You” being released through ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective music label. If that wasn’t impressive enough already, his debut album, Way Back When, has been streamed over forty million streams on it’s own. Not only have his remixes of artists like Mos Def, Goldlink, G-Eazy, and Gallant garnered major buzz around him, but collaborations with r&b artists like Opia, Ashe, and RKCB have resulted in some of his best work yet. In his spare time, Futon keeps his fans engaged with beat challenge videos that not only give his viewers a sample of what it’s like for him during the production process, but have produced incredible flips such as Frank Ocean’s “Solo” and Kendrick Lamar’s “PRIDE.”. Louis Futon’s talent and hard work is already acknowledged by his peers because he’s already has toured with the likes of ODESZA, Big G, Griz, Louis The Child, Troyboi, and much more in the past year. If you ever wanted to see Louis Futon on tour, now is the time.
